Soccer Summer Camps 2008

VLSC offers Soccer Summer Camps for all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Legacy Soccer Camps are appropriate for beginners, developmental, recreationa and more experienced players. Boys and girls are grouped by age and ability and will be involved in soccer related games, activities, trainings and competitions. The Legacy Soccer School of Excellence camps are geared towards travel players. Players attending these camps must play on a travel team that is at least U9. Players ar trained technically, tactically, physically and mentally throughout the week in a fun and demanding environment. New this year, the week in which the Legacy School of Excellence is held at WISC will include a "Breakfast Club"...a unique and exciting addition to the camp. This camp includes an hour of training each day with our certified athletic trainers. The athletic trainers will work with players on improving speed, agility, flexibility, core strength and injury prevention.

1st Touch Soccer Academy (2-6 yr. Olds)

The Virginia Legacy has developed a program that is specifically designed for two to six year olds. The program is divided into four different age levels/classes: a 2-3 yr. old class (Lil' Dribblers), 4 yr. olds (Lil' Shooters), 5 yr. olds (Lil' Wingers) and 6 yr. olds (Lil' Strikers). Our goal is to provide a positive learning environment for your child with a focus on fun and fundamentals. As your child graduates to each program they will learn the basic skills required to be successful in soccer while gaining a better understanding of the game.

Lil’ Shooters (4 Years): $105/term

• Monday/Friday 4:45 - 5:30 pm OR 5:30 - 6:15 pm
• Tuesday/Thursday 11:15 am- 12:00 pm
• Saturday 9:00 - 10:30 am

Lil’ Wingers (5 years): $105/term

• Tuesday/Thursday 4:45 - 5:30 pm OR 5:30 - 6:15 pm
• Saturday 9:00 - 10:30 am

Lil’ Strikers (6 Years): $105/term

• Wednesday 5:30 – 6:30 pm AND Thursday 6:15 - 7:00 pm

Preschool Soccer Class (4-5 Years): $60/term

• Tuesday 1:30 - 2:15 pm

Futures Academy (7-10 yr. Olds)

VA Legacy and WISC has developed a one of kind program for 7-10 yr. olds. The Legacy Futures Soccer Academy serves as a feeder program for our Legacy Travel Soccer Club. In this program we bring some of our best coaches in to run each session. We focus on teaching them the game so that they may gain a better understanding of the game. We take time to teach them the skills and provide them with the tools necessary to make them successful. In addition, we show them exercises and drills they can do on their own time to help them succeed. We encourage goal setting and begin to focus on the mental side of the game. This is an excellent program for kids who aspire to play travel soccer or just want to get a higher level of education in soccer.

Futures Academy Term II Schedule: April 1 - May 21, 2008

Class Options : $105/term

• Tuesday 6:30 - 7:30 pm & Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 am
• Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 pm & Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 am
• Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30 pm & Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 am

Tuesday and Wednesday classes will be held at the new Warhill Sports Complex on the Multi-Use Field Turf Soccer Fields. The Saturday portion of the class is for games which will be held at Queens Lake Middle School.

Game Days:

• April 5, April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17

There will be no classes/games the week of April 7 - 12 due to Spring Break.

Adult Soccer Program

WISC has hosted Adult Soccer Leagues since it opened it's doors in June of 2000. All adult soccer leagues take place on our beautiful True Turf field. This is the most modern turf available and is ideal for soccer. It is friendly on the joints, rug burn free and great to play on. Games are 48 minutes in length (24 minute halves) with each team receiving a minimum of 8 games per season. Players travel from as far away as VA Beach on a weekly basis to participate in this one of a kind soccer league. WISC offers three different leagues: Wallace A-League (Tuesdays), Men's B-League (Wed/Thurs) and the Coed>35 League (Mondays). WISC will also be offering Women's Pick-up Soccer.
