Academy Policies

Lesson Cancellation or No-Show Policy

Instructional lessons are scheduled in advance to create effective use of the baseball/softball facility and the instructor’s time. Failure to give reasonable notice of a cancellation prevents other lesson from being scheduled.  To maximize the instructor’s time and the WISC facility use, the following is the policy regarding lesson cancellations or no shows:

  • Individual and group lessons must be paid in full in advance of the lesson either by cash or check; or they may be reserved with a credit card. 
  • Weekday lessons must be cancelled by 12:00 noon on the day of the lesson.
  • Notification of cancellation of any Saturday and/or Sunday lesson must be made by 5PM on the previous Friday.
  • Cancellations must be phoned or e-mailed to Kyle Klyman at 757-253-1947 or kklyman@thewisc.com
  • The penalty for cancellation without notification as outlined above is 50% of the lesson fee.
      • If lessons have been paid in advance by cash or check, a 50% credit will be placed on the individual’s account.
      • If paying by credit card, the credit card will be charged at a rate of 50% of the lesson fee.

For those individuals who wish to pay for instruction on the day of the lesson, you must have a credit card number on file with your account.

Camp or Session Cancellation Policy

If a camper has to cancel and does so 4 weeks prior to the camp they will receive a full refund. After the date, the camper will be given a credit if he/she is unable to participate.

If a camp is cancelled due to weather, a make-up date will be issued. If a make-up date is not possible a credit will be issued to the camper. The credit is transferable with written notification.
